Note – Please remember that Craigdarroch Castle is a historic house museum and, as such, there are no ramps or elevators and it is not wheelchair accessible. Visitors are encouraged to leave personal possession (coats, backpacks and strollers) in their vehicle as we have no place to store them. Certified service dogs are welcome in the Castle. Please visit Guide Dog and Service Dog Certification for information on service dog certification if you have questions about certification requirements.
The Castle is located just off Fort Street on Joan Crescent, close to downtown Victoria. Getting here is a pleasant 20-minute walk along Fort Street – an experience unto itself with boutiques, bistros and antique shops lining the street. Ample parking is located on site. Fort Street is also a bus route and has dedicated bike lanes.
The centre combines a beautifully renovated 1913 home with new construction containing an accessible ticketing area at ground level, gift shop and a museum quality climate-controlled basement room to store artifacts and engage in other preservation work.
Located in the Visitor Centre, there’s always new, local items to browse. From delicious artisan treats to unique crafts and Castle memorabilia, no visit to Craigdarroch is complete with a stop at the gift shop. The Shop is open on the days we offer tours.
Our Online Shop offers many of our bestselling products and we are happy to process and ship orders placed through our website.
